Fuel Clerk- Greater Sudbury
The Fuel Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of fuel purchases, fuel tickets, and related administrative, clerical, and accounting tasks. This role is a key member of the accounting team and provides support across the department as required. Integrity, confidentiality, and strong attention to detail are essential to success in this position.
The Fuel Clerk manages fuel card transactions (Petro Canada, Esso, and Shell) as well as bulk fuel purchasing, including reconciliation, pricing, distribution to company-owned units, and billing to owner-operators. The role also involves working closely with internal teams to reconcile fuel deliveries and disbursements to and from job-site fuel tanks.

Responsibilities:
- Process fuel purchases, fuel cards, and fuel tickets accurately and efficiently
- Reconcile bulk fuel purchases, pricing, and distribution.
- Allocate fuel costs to company-owned units and bill owner-operators accordingly.
- Reconcile fuel deliveries and usage from job-site fuel tanks.
- Maintain and update databases by entering new and revised customer and account information.
- Prepare, compile, sort, and verify source data for data entry.
- Review documents for accuracy and completeness and resolve discrepancies.
- Verify entered data and correct, delete, or re-enter information as required.
- Combine data from multiple systems when information is incomplete.
- Maintain data integrity by eliminating duplicate records and performing backups.
- Follow established accounting, data management, and office procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of all company, employee, and customer information
- Support team objectives and assist with related administrative and accounting tasks as needed.

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Computer savvy with solid proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and email
- Strong mathematical aptitude

- Strong work ethic and positive team-oriented attitude
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in office administration required
- Experience in accounting or bookkeeping preferred
- Previous data entry or related office experience required
- Basic computer or office administration coursework considered an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge of clerical accounting and bookkeeping procedures
- Knowledge of standard office practices and administrative systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
Position:
- Monday to Friday
- 40 hours per week
- In-office at the Azilda location
- French not required
