Driver testing using the Simulator

At Day Group, prospective drivers must undergo testing before proceeding to the road test.  The Simulator test consists of various aggressive scenarios to ensure that the driver is competently qualified. We observe:
  • Shifting
  • Backing
  • Collision avoidance
  • Decision making skills
  • Ability to anticipate hazards
  • Aggressive driving behaviours

We test all of our employees every two years to rid of complacent driving habits and regain defensive driving skills

Intelex Software

We use ​Intelex's Training Management Software application. It assists the Resource Group in tracking training, licensing, certifications and qualifications for employees and contractors. The system provides automated notification of upcoming requirements to supervisors and personnel, in order to exceed regulatory compliance including satisfying the requirements of ISO 14001 and OHSA 18001. It provides concise reporting of training status at the press of a button.
