Transportation Safety Manager- Greater Sudbury
Qualifications:
At a minimum this individual will possess 5 years in the same or similar environment. The preferred candidate will also have a fundamental understanding of the Ontario Health & Safety Act and will support the Companies safety culture.
- strong supervisory skills
- computer skills
- communication skills, both written and verbal
- bilingual would be an asset
- Valid Drivers License is required
Responsibilities:
- This individual will be responsible for directly managing all commercial trucking activities in the Company.
- CVOR requirements
- Accident Investigation
- Reporting requirements
- Insurance claims
- Assist in developing and maintaining company policies and procedures
- Manage court duties
- Company liaison to MOL-MTO-Transport Canada Agencies and clients
- Manage Health & Safety audits-performance reviews-site inspections-customer contract safety requirements
