Construction Superintendent- Timmins
Day Group Timmins is looking for a Construction Superintendent who is client-focused, and has proven knowledge of construction technology, documentation, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures. The Project Superintendent will require a solid understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, QA/QC requirements, and excellent ability to supervise and direct groups in an efficient manner.
To be successful in our dynamic environment you must have 10 years of field-experience and 5 years in a senior supervisory role. Your strong knowledge of construction site operations, including Occupational Health and Safety compliance, proven leadership and problem-solving capabilities, and ability to meet deadlines on-time and on-budget will be an asset. Skills & Responsibilities:
- Correspond with subcontractors and internal staff daily.
- Assist Construction Project Management team with many aspects of their day-to-day duties and help ensure that all aspects of any construction project run smoothly and efficiently.
- Actively participate in Project and Leadership Development meetings.
- Supervise daily activities to ensure project targets are being met, quantified, and recorded.
Requirements:
- Ability to lead and work with others in the completion of a schedule, budget guidelines, and customer requirements.
- Verbal and written communication skills, ability to work well independently and within a team setting.
- Valid driver's license with clean abstract.
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- Ability to work independently and as part of the project management team.
- Excellent organization and planning skills to prioritize and balance work.
Qualifications:
- Computer literacy- i.e., Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook.
- 10 years field experience in the mining or construction industries.
- 5 years supervisory experience.
- A Diploma in civil and or engineering, construction management, project management or an equivalent combination of education and experience would be an asset.
